Bozeman Spirits Distillery will be showing an acrylic painting collection by local artist, Chanelle Zimmer, during the August Art Walk. Chanelle is a self-taught artist who has spent many years sketching and drawing, with animals in general, and horses in particular, being a favorite subject. In the past year or so, the paint brush entered the picture for an impromptu entry into a fundraising art auction to raise money for cancer research. Since that time, the painting streak has blossomed into a unique style of equine portraiture that will be on display at the Distillery for the next downtown Art Walk. One of her paintings, "On Watch," won an Award of Merit this June and has been on display with Light, Space and Time Online Gallery since then. Come enjoy a fantastic cocktail and browse some unique artwork by a local emerging artist.
