The Grand Rescue: Reception and Screening

oin the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) for a reception and screening of “The Grand Rescue,” followed by a discussion with members of the original rescue team and other special guests.
The Grand Rescue is the story of a three-day rescue that became legend. In 1967, on the North Face of the Grand Teton, seven climbing rangers risked their lives to save a severely injured climber and his companion. The rescue pushed the team to the edge of their abilities and cemented a lifelong bond. Looking back after 40 years, the rescuers and survivors recount the trial with a mixture of honesty and unabashed candor. A parks adventure story not to be missed!

National Parks Conservation Association: Since 1919, NPCA has served as America’s leading voice for the National Park System. Working at both the national level and through 24 regional field offices, NPCA engages with Congressional and Administrative leadership, while maintaining a strong local presence, to protect and enhance America’s national parks for present and future generations. NPCA’s Yellowstone Field Office advocates for the protection and preservation of Yellowstone National Park, its iconic wildlife, and the land and waters of the broader Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
