Film: A Place to Stand

Kings Road Media, in association with Catamount Films, is proud to present the Bozeman premiere of A Place to Stand, the celebrated feature documentary film about Jimmy Santiago Baca, one of America's greatest living poets. It tells the story of his remarkable discovery of writing in the worst of conditions and how poetry transformed him from an illiterate, violent convict to a world renowned and beloved writer. It has been heralded as one of the most inspirational stories of personal transformation in recent history.

The evening will be a screening of the film, followed by a Q&A with Mr. Baca, making his first ever visit to Bozeman, and Daniel Glick, the director of the film, a Bozeman resident. After the Q&A there will be a book signing of Jimmy's memoir (on which the book is based) and poetry.

Prior to the event will be an exclusive VIP reception - a meet and greet with Mr. Baca and Daniel Glick. For tickets to the reception, email info@aplacetostandmovie.com.
