Warrior Women: Amazons and Real Wonder Women Taking off from Adrienne Mayor’s 2014 book, The Amazons: Lives and Legends of Warrior Women across the Ancient World, this presentation by Michelle Maskiell, MSU Professor Emerita of History, will consider the weaving of stories about warrior women. It will briefly recap Mayor’s expert summary of information about the Asian origins of ancient Greek Amazon tales.
