Film Screening: Cowboys vs. Dinosaurs

On August 1, the feature length motion picture Cowboys vs. Dinosaurs which was shot in Livingston Montana will be screened at the Livingston Depot Center.  
 
Cowboys vs. Dinosaurs stars Eric Roberts (as seen in Batman the Dark Knight) and Vernon Wells (as seen in Mad Max Road Warrior) is an action packed Sci-Fi film featuring a large local Montana cast. After an accidental explosion at the local mine, a long-thought extinct breed of dinosaur emerges from the rubble. A group of gunslingers led by local cowboy who has recently returned home must unite with his arch enemy to defend their town if anyone is going to survive in a battle of man versus dinosaur.  
 
This event is a fundraiser for the Park County Friends of the Arts, representing Park County’s oldest non profit art gallery – the Danforth Gallery. The Livingston Depot will screen a few train related cartoons and the screening will begin after a Q&A with the filmmakers. Doors open at 7:30 with an estimated start time for the film makers panel of 8 PM.
 
All proceeds will benefit the Park County Friends of the Arts and the Danforth Gallery in Livingston (and the Depot?) . Tickets are $8 for Danforth /P.C.F.A. members / $10 for non members, with a household ticket available for $25, for families. Sponsors include the Sport, which will also host an after party at 114 S. Main Street in Livingston, and the Montana Film Office.
 
The film will be projected outside by Bozeman company FunFlicks, and viewers are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to the Depot and to leave pets at home.
 
Cowboys vs. Dinosaurs was directed by Ari Novak who is a resident of Bozeman and produced by Oracle Film Group, with offices in Bozeman as well as New York and Los Angeles. Novak is known for his many major feature film credits as well as Tony nominated work on Broadway.
 
Established in 1974 as a community non-profit, the Park County Friends of the Arts (PCFA) and the Danforth Gallery have played an active role for over thirty five years in establishing Livingston as an art center of Montana.
