A friend once described Matt's music as 'Mutant Jazz Folk'; really, it's a blend of whatever speaks to him at the time. A lot of it is funky, bluesy, or jazzy, but a fair bit is difficult to pin down. Matt does live looping at times, which is fun, and that lets him play flute on a few songs.
